Release Note: 3.0.0-beta.1
This release introduces the new eDetailer channel—an exciting addition that enables the creation and publishing of interactive presentations—alongside a handful of general improvements. While this update is lighter than usual, it marks a significant step forward in expanding Activator’s capabilities.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.
See the following explanations for enablement options:
AUTO-ON: Automatically activated and no configuration is required before using the feature; in some cases, a new feature is dependent on another feature that must be enabled or configured.
CONFIGURATION: Anthill must turn on or configure the feature before it is available to use or is active; for example, an Admin must add document templates before users can create documents from templates.

🚀 Introducing the eDetailer Channel
A streamlined path to compliant, interactive presentations
Activator now supports a brand-new channel: eDetailers—purpose-built for creating, managing, and publishing interactive sales presentations directly to connected DAM systems. Designed to support the structured flow of eDetailing content, this channel gives marketing teams, MLR reviewers, and field reps a seamless experience across the content lifecycle, from authoring to final delivery.
The process begins with the creation of a presentation—also referred to as a Collection or Binder—within the DAM. Once established, the presentation is imported into Activator. Individual slides, also created in the DAM, are then added to the presentation. These can be pre-linked within the DAM or added within Activator after import, offering flexibility depending on workflow preferences.
Each slide can be enhanced using a library of interactive components provided within Activator. These include buttons, popups, and other interactive elements that help create dynamic, engaging content. A built-in grid system ensures easy alignment and layout of these components, promoting consistency and clarity throughout the presentation.

Navigation between slides is supported through menu items defined in the design system. This enables users of the final presentation to jump between sections in a structured and intuitive way, essential for guiding conversations in field settings.
Once all slides are assembled and finalized, both the presentation and its slides are published. Activator automatically ensures that links between documents, slides, media assets, and design systems remain intact.

A preview mode is also available, providing an accurate look at how the presentation will appear once delivered. This helps ensure visual consistency and interactive behavior before the content goes live.
The eDetailer channel represents a solid, reliable foundation for managing digital presentation content in Activator. This beta release includes the core functionality required for building compelling, compliant eDetailing experiences—and lays the groundwork for further enhancements in future updates.
CONFIGURATION
Add and Edit Colors UI Enhancements
The improvement introduces an intuitive way for you to personalize color settings within the Design System. When you click on the color value displayed on a color card, a color picker appears, allowing immediate adjustments. You can save changes effortlessly, and the updated color value is reflected in your configuration.
The feature also supports adding new colors. By selecting the "new color" card, you're greeted with a color picker preset to white. Depending on your preference, you can either specify the desired color value or select a shade from the picker. Once saved, this new color becomes part of your configuration. AUTO-ON
Import Higher Version Files from DAM
Now, when you import a document from DAM that has a newer version than the one in Activator, a corresponding Activator version of the existing source code will be automatically created. This new behavior ensures that your documents stay up-to-date across platforms without manual intervention.
Note that if you attempt to import a previously existing version of a document, no updates will be made. This prevents overwriting of current data and aligns with the upcoming rendition feature, where earlier document versions will be imported as renditions rather than updates. Publications during this import process are confined to Activator only, ensuring that the specific version’s compiled and generated files are accurately reflected. AUTO-ON
