Release Note: 3.0.0-beta.2
Welcome to the latest Activator version! This update brings bug fixes, new features, and improvements all around the system. Some changes are not visible to the end-user.
Let's explore what's new!
See the following explanations for enablement options:
AUTO-ON: Automatically activated and no configuration is required before using the feature; in some cases, a new feature is dependent on another feature that must be enabled or configured.
CONFIGURATION: Anthill must turn on or configure the feature before it is available to use or is active; for example, an Admin must add document templates before users can create documents from templates.

eDetailer Improvements
Breadcrumb Navigation for Collections
The Breadcrumb Navigation feature enhances your experience by providing accurate breadcrumb trails while navigating through collection content. This feature streamlines your ability to return to the binder and interact with other documents seamlessly, ensuring a more intuitive navigation experience.
Leveraging event-based triggers, the system retrieves relationships between documents and collections, dynamically updating the top bar with relevant collection names. Additionally, design improvements enable breadcrumb setup enhancements, now including an option to switch between different collections through a simple dropdown within the breadcrumb trail. AUTO-ON
Persist Preview Mode Across Slide Navigation
You can now keep the preview mode active while you move between slides using action or menu navigation. Previously, switching slides would exit the preview mode, requiring manual reactivation for each new slide. With this enhancement, once preview mode is selected, it remains active as you navigate through your slides.
This improvement ensures a more seamless review process by maintaining consistent slide views without needing to repeatedly switch back to preview mode. Whether you're navigating through slides using keyboard shortcuts, action buttons, or menu options, the preview mode stays engaged across transitions. AUTO-ON
Activator Source Content and Design System Relationship Checks
The latest update enhances Activator's ability to handle records imported from Digital Asset Management (DAM), particularly concerning the use of Source Content in MJML format and associated Design System (DS) relationships.
When both Activator Source Content (MJML) and a DS relationship exist, Activator seamlessly imports the record from DAM without requiring the user to go through the DS selection wizard or choose a template, preserving the original content.
In scenarios where Activator Source Content (MJML) exists, but no DS relationship is established, users will be prompted to associate a DS upon import. Activator will not prompt to select a template, preventing any unintended content overrides.
If only a DS relationship exists without accompanying Activator Source Content, the system will ask users to choose a template. The DS selection is pre-populated with the existing DS, facilitating a quick and efficient process. AUTO-ON
Improved Subject Line Formatting in MLR Report
When multiple Subject Lines are entered in the DAM document, they are typically separated by line breaks. However, the MLR Report used to combine these into a single paragraph, complicating the review process. This improvement ensures Subject Lines in the MLR Report align with the original DAM formatting, maintaining line breaks for clarity and consistency.
This change includes several important updates: Subject Lines entered with line breaks in DAM will retain this formatting when presented in the MLR Report. Additionally, the PDF output will visually separate Subject Lines using hard line breaks instead of wrapping them inline. This update maintains backward compatibility, so existing documents remain unaffected and display as anticipated. AUTO-ON
Design System Duplication Enhancement
When duplicating design systems in our platform, relationships can now be set within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, providing more consistency and clarity.
The implementation involves necessary code modifications to support the establishment of these relationships, ensuring that duplicated systems maintain their linkages and associations seamlessly across different parts of the platform. CONFIGURATION
Removal of Pre-header Field in Email Fragments
The pre-header field has been removed from the editor panel specifically for Email Fragments. This change reflects the fact that pre-header fields are not applicable in the context of Email Fragments. By eliminating this option, the editor panel is now more streamlined and focused on relevant functionalities. AUTO-ON
Document Import Enhancements from DAM
When a document is imported from Digital Asset Management (DAM) and it has a higher version, a corresponding version of the existing source code is created in Activator. AUTO-ON
